ABOUT
RACE MATTERS, INC. is a Minority-Led and a Minority-Focused organization. Our focus is on amplifying the voices and leadership of Black Indigenous People of Color throughout West Virginia. We align ourselves with the moral imperative to dismantle discrimination at its core.
In West Virginia, similar to other states across this nation, we acknowledge that race matters in every facet of our lives. This includes education, employment, health, criminal justice, law enforcement, housing, home ownership, financial security, and more.
Our goal is to engender self-determination, empowerment, leadership, and equal representation across different sectors of society to build trust and to work in solidarity with those who are oppressed and/or underrepresented.
